Restaurants in JalonEating out in Spain is fun and there is a diversity
of places to eat in and around Jalon. When you arrive you will receive a local
map with some favourite places to eat. Spanish Menus La
Pista - Typical Spanish menu and a favourite with many guests, authentic and
in a pleasant setting, there is a cafe bar area and a restaurant which extends
into an open courtyard. Riu Rau - Another long-standing local
restaurant on the other side of the river to the town. Casa Caty
- A popular Spanish restaurant, although it closes during August and long public
holidays. Los Paratos - Buzzing with locals, has a bar café
area too. Ca la Lisa - Carvery and Buffet on the outskirts of the town on the

Les Rosetes - Vegetarian food with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere.
The Lemon Tree - English breakfasts, Sunday lunches, Thursday
curry night with a similar atmosphere to an English pub, Sky TV for sporting events.
Bully's - another restaurant with English influence and a bar.
Restaurant Indonesia Chinese - it does not look much from outside
but is very good if you're looking for a real change of scene. Harry
Stafford's Fish and Chip - eat in or take away. Café
Bars Café Juan Bar - full of locals, very popular if you fancy
breakfast with a few beers and a couple of shots! Tapas Bar Me Gusta
- a very well presented café where you can order a table mixta for 6 euros,
they also sell fine olive oils, vinegars and dressings. Cal Joseph
- a favourite with the ex-pats, excellent food and coffee, int'l newspapers, internet
access, gift shop, and even teak furniture for sale upstairs. Can
Tallarina - a great hang out for youngsters, load music and table football.
Bar Café Ole - snacks and tapas and if you are lucky the
patron will show you his party trick! La Fabrica - next door
to the Servibox shop on the corner. Bull Café Bar - Bocateria
and Heladeria, (sandwich rolls and ice cream shop). Restaurants
outside Jalon Terrace de Torres - A menu that takes you a step closer
to real Valencian cooking. La Polenta - An unassuming Italian
restaurant with an original menu, presented and served beautifully, first class.
Casa Canto - There are two restaurants both with this name, 3
or 4 doors from each other. One serves international standard cuisine in a beautiful
setting and first class service, the other is an equally delightful authentic
tapas bar restaurant. Val de Pop - Often booked out, a good Spanish
menu in a dramatic setting where you can watch the chefs cook on the open fire.
Casa del Maco - Haute cuisine presented in an 18th century finca
with beautiful views from the terrace. Restaurants within
Walking distance to Caserío del Mirador The Donkey Sanctuary
- drinks and tapas in a jovial and charming atmosphere, set menus at prices hard
to beat. A 5 minute walk up the hill from Caserío del Mirador Casa.
Verde Vente - an old finca serving a standard menu only at lunchtime,
book outside if the weather is hot. St. Vicente near to the Verde
Vente and surrounded by vineyards. Masserof is a 20 minute walk
from Caserío del Mirador.
