Beach & Costa Blanca Coast
No summer holiday is complete without
spending time at the beach. With over 50km of Costa Blanca coastline between Denia
and Altea, there are a selection of large scale beaches, rocky coves and marinas,
plus all the local restaurants, bars and shops to while away your day. Even in
the winter months the days are sunny and mild, so you can take your time and enjoy
the sea air.

Hills
and Mountains
Whether you are a keen mountaineer or like the occasional
stroll here you are surrounded by stunning scenery. There is the opportunity to
enjoy majestic views across some of the most thrilling coastal landscapes and
a range of walks to suit every level. The local Bernia Mountain is 1,100 metres,
you can walk around the mountain where you will find beautiful picnic spots with
views all the way to Alicante, there is an ancient castle, a natural font and
even a cave that cuts through from one side of the mountain to the other. Maps

Jalon
In 1472 the Moors living in Jalón sent a selection of
wines to the Valencian Court and negotiated with traders in Jávea the sale
of a product which in time would become the base of Marina Alta's economy: raisins
produced in the traditional 'riu-raus'. Jalón's wines belong to the 'denominación
de origen' of Alicante and raisins are still produced in small quantities. Today
Jalón is the capital of the Pop valley and is a lively town with craft
shops, wine cellars, restaurants. Each Saturday a large flea market is held in
the area of the Azud that specializes in antique furniture. Golf
Golf is an important part of the area, you will find first class golf courses
at Sierra de Altea Golf, Golf Ifach de Benissa, Oliva Nova Golf, Golf Club La
Sella in Denia, Club de Golf Don Cayo in Altea and Golf Javea. The mild climate
makes it possible to play on these courses throughout the year.
